Lots going on these days and I am trying to get into some sort of routine. Here is some randomness from my life lately:

1. I just got back from Mexico and it was amazing! It was so nice to unplug and get away for awhile. Pictures to come.

2. Currently working on some photography projects (more on that later) as well as getting some goals together for my business in 2012.

3. I have been emailed quite a few questions over the past while. I will do a Q&A post shortly so if there is anything you would like to know about yours truly leave a question in the comments below.

4. Pinterest is a serious ADDICTION!

5. Found some amazing blogs lately so stay tuned for a link-up post.

I was so excited to photography Jeff and all his tattoos. Tattoos have always fascinated me, both the look of them and the stories behind them. I am the proud owner of 5 tattoos with plans on getting many more.

Jeff's Alice and Wonderland sleeve is absolutely amazing. A real piece of art.

meet Brooklyn & Bryce, two lovely souls i had the honor of meeting this past fall. i love their style and the connection they share. they were so natural in front of the camera that i had to do very little directing. the weather and light were perfect and I am in love with the results!

i met Kristen this past summer on a camping trip with mutual friends. we hit it off immediately and had such a great time. we spent 2 days talking each others ears off and forming a friendship.

Kristen is beautiful both inside and out and I was thrilled when I had the opportunity to photographer her.

The chair we used was one of hers. I was beside myself when she showed it to me and was willing to drag it around the city for photos! Thanks Kristen and I can't wait to do it again!

Oh my, this was one of my favourite shoots this year. This abandoned farm is a perfect shoot location, I will definitely be going back there.

The lighting was absolutly amazing. Add that with a beautiful model, and the results are magical.

i am a little late on blogging this wedding, but better late than never :)

my job is so easy when my clients are this awesome! kali & adam were so fun and up for anything. one of the best parts of my job is getting to know my clients and their families, and this family was wonderful. the day was perfect, filled with love and laughter.

often times we get too caught up in the business side of photography and forget to shoot for ourselves. it is very easy to forget why you picked up a camera in the first place, what made you become a photographer. when was the last time you took your camera out and took pictures just for you?

i have to remind myself that every picture does not have to be perfectly composed with fantastic lighting and focus. sometimes it is the emotion of the photograph that makes it amazing and the memories that it holds.

i snapped this picture at a wedding i photographed in Kansas City in the spring. nothing fancy or special about it, but to me it brings back a lot of memories that were made in few short days.

this girl is beautiful, smart, funny, caring, althletic, soft spoken and has the biggest heart. she is going to go big places. i have watched her grow from a tiny baby into this stunning pre-teen. i can't wait to see her grab life by the horns and run with it.

gina and i have been friends for a few years and I was absolutely thrilled when she asked me to fly down to Kansas and photograph her wedding. i got to spend four days with her and her friends and had an amazing time.

the wedding was so beautiful and so well planned. the wedding dress was HAND MADE by her mom. it was gorgeous!! with pockets and everything. her mom also hand made the flower girl dresses, veil and ring pillow. she is a rockstar!

meet oscar, she is the newest addition to our house. she is the cutest, funniest kitten i have ever seen. she is fascinated by the dog (160 lb mastiff) even though her whole body would fit in his mouth. the dog tries to lick her to death and in return she attacks his tail.

this amazing woman has been my best friend since we were kids. i love her like a sister. i have been so lucky to be a part of her life, and now part of her kids lives.

meet meaghen. isn't she stunning?? she was a bit nervous when we started, saying that she has never modeled before and wasn't sure what to do. ha, as soon as i pulled out the camera she started striking poses and making it look flawless. this girl has talent, and needs to get into modeling.
